Pumpkins in the Pines

SkyPark at Santa's Village swaps its usual North Pole sparkle for harvest colors every October weekend during Pumpkins in the Pines. Pumpkins are tucked all around the mountain park in Skyforest, just minutes from Lake Arrowhead, so kids get to wander beneath tall pines and changing leaves while they hunt for the perfect one to bring home. Families can pick and purchase pumpkins right in the patch, and there are photo spots around nearly every corner.

The fall festival packs plenty into a single day. Little artists can decorate a pumpkin at the painting station, and everyone can test their guessing skills at the giant pumpkin weigh-in at Santa's Yard on weekend afternoons. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Puppet Show brings Washington Irving's spooky-but-silly tale to the Magic Tree Theatre, while The Wacko Magic Show, Stories of the NorthWoods and Kids Imagine Nation keep the weekend stage schedule busy. On Saturday nights and Sunday evenings, the Monster Mash Light Show lights up The Village Tree.

Because Pumpkins in the Pines comes with regular park admission, your family also gets SkyPark's rides, attractions, dining and shopping. Halloween weekend brings extra treats: the SkyPark Spooky Spectacular offers trick-or-treating throughout the Village on October 30 and 31 from 4:00 PM until close, with treat cards available at Admissions.

Mountain mornings and evenings run noticeably cooler than the LA basin, so pack layers and closed-toe walking shoes. Every guest must sign a waiver before entering, pets are not allowed, and a few extra activities may carry a small add-on fee. Entertainment schedules can shift, so check the park schedule on arrival for current showtimes.

Pumpkins in the Pines is included with a SkyPark Day Ticket or Annual Pass. Pumpkins are sold separately, and some extra activities may require a small fee.

Day Tickets: $59 for adults (ages 18–64); $49 for youth (ages 4–17); $49 for seniors (ages 65–74).

Children ages 3 and under are free with a paying parent or guardian, and guests ages 75 and up are free.

SkyPark notes that pricing varies by date, so check the ticket page for your visit day. Annual Passholders enter free.

Every guest must complete a waiver before entering the park.
