Pumpkin Party

The Leonis Adobe Museum is decking out its historic grounds for Halloween, and the annual Pumpkin Party invites families to come explore. Set at one of the oldest homes in the San Fernando Valley area, this afternoon event blends spooky-season fun with a living-history experience that kids won't find anywhere else.

Little explorers can follow a scavenger hunt around the decorated property, roll up their sleeves for hands-on craft projects and enjoy live music throughout the afternoon. Costumed demonstrators bring rancho life of the 1880s to life, giving kids a peek at how families worked, cooked and lived well over a century ago.

Costumes are always admired here, but they are not required, so your family can come dressed as pirates or come just as you are. With a modest entry fee and free admission for the youngest guests, the Pumpkin Party is an easy, budget-friendly way to celebrate Halloween with a dose of local history.
