Play for All Abilities

The Southern California Children's Museum is creating a welcoming space for children and families of all abilities with their Play for All Abilities hours! Held on the last Thursday of every month, these dedicated hours are all about fostering a calm, inclusive, and sensory-friendly environment. With adjustments like a quieter atmosphere (think dimmed lights and no background noise) and sensory backpacks equipped with noise-canceling headphones and toys, kids can feel comfortable and free to explore. Families will also find resources like nonverbal communication cards and visual guides to make the experience even more accessible. It's not just a playdate—it’s a chance to build connections and create memories in a space where everyone belongs.
