Perris Appreciation Day: Harvest Haunt at the Railway

The Southern California Railway Museum in Perris swaps its everyday whistle for a spooky-sweet celebration on Saturday, October 17, 2026, when the 4th Annual Perris Appreciation Day brings Harvest Haunt at the Railway to life. This free evening thanks the local community with trains, treats and plenty of Halloween-season fun for your family.

Kids can show off their costumes in the costume contest, fill their buckets along the booth-or-treat trail and jump into kids activities, while parents browse local vendors, exhibitor booths and a specially stocked museum store. Live entertainment keeps the energy high, raffles add a little extra excitement, and food vendors have dinner covered.

Train lovers get plenty to cheer about, too. Mainline trains depart at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., the Loop Line runs on demand from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m., and the Mainline Electric is scheduled at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. when available. Rides are free for City of Perris residents, workers and students, plus museum members.
