Pasadena Dance Theatre's The Nutcracker

Ready to start a holiday tradition? Pasadena Dance Theatre brings The Nutcracker back to the historic San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, with a fresh take on Clara's story choreographed by Jessamyn Vedro and set to Tchaikovsky's beloved score.

Clara's dream adventure whisks your family around the world through dances inspired by China, France, Ukraine, Egypt, Scotland, and Spain. More than 60 dancers take the stage, including guest artists, alumni, Conservatory students, and youth performers, with Elise Holmes dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy and Lester Gonzalez as the Cavalier.

It is a great first ballet for kids who can enjoy a two-act show, and a lovely way to spend a weekend afternoon or evening in the San Gabriel Valley. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 9, so mark your calendar.
