The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's 2024-25 Orchestral Series opens with an inspiring program titled Trailblazers: Martín + Brahms + Bauer. Conducted by Jaime Martín, the concert features Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D major, a piece full of warmth and lyrical beauty. The evening also highlights baritone Thomas Bauer, celebrated for his expressive depth, performing Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer, arranged for chamber orchestra by Schoenberg. The program begins with Haydn’s Symphony No. 6, "Morning," a vibrant work that perfectly captures the freshness of dawn. This dynamic event is being presented at three locations: the Alex Theatre in Glendale, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, and the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara.
