Ocean Investigators

Ocean Investigators is the Aquarium of the Pacific's series of two-hour science classes for kids ages 7 to 12, and the November session puts fish in the spotlight. Young marine biologists spend the morning learning what makes a fish a fish and discovering the clever adaptations that help these scaly swimmers survive.

The class is packed with hands-on moments. Kids get to touch tidepool animals in a private classroom touch pool, join a guided tour of the Tropical Gallery to spot a rainbow of fish, examine biofacts up close and record their own observations about fish behaviors. Along the way they meet members of the animal care team, and every participant takes home a keepsake journal.

Small-group programs like this are a terrific way for curious kids to go deeper than a regular aquarium visit, and they make a great gift for a child who can't get enough of the ocean. Spots require advance registration, so your family will want to book early.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the program receive a full refund; later cancellations are charged the full price.
