OC Sensory Friendly Mornings

Discovery Cube Orange County opens its doors early on the third Sunday of each month for Sensory Friendly Mornings, a special time designed so every child can explore science comfortably. These early sessions celebrate neurodiversity and give families a more relaxed way to experience the museum's hands-on exhibits before the regular crowds arrive.

To help kids navigate at their own pace, the Cube provides sensory-friendly maps and visual cue cards, and its welcoming staff are on hand to support guests. Children can head straight to the exhibits that match their interests, from dinosaurs to the rainforest, without the noise and bustle of a typical museum day.

Each session runs from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Santa Ana, and one aide per family gets in free with a badge or medical ID. It is a thoughtful option for families with kids who have autism, sensory processing differences or anyone who simply enjoys a gentler museum visit.
