Noon Year's Eve at Pretend City

Join Pretend City for its annual New Year’s Celebration in the middle of the day! Celebrate the new year at different times throughout the day as the sun travels across the different time zones! There will be a confetti countdown 4 different times to celebrate the new year in Bangladesh, Dubai, Athens, and London, as it turns to midnight in these different cities!  The event also features New Year’s activities and art for little ones to enjoy!

Art (all day):

• Make your own noisemaker to shake and rattle for the countdown! Put some rice between two paper plates and decorate it with oil pastels, then make some noise once the hour hits!
• Here in the United States, fireworks are a big part of our New Year’s celebrations! Have fun making your own using paint and paper!
• Participate in a fun new tradition brought from Rio in Brazil! Play in blue water and throw white flowers onto the surface, like locals in Rio do on the beach!

Twas’ the day before New Year’s and all through the city, the citizens are stirring and buzzing about! With sparkling streamers, blowouts, noise makers, and confetti that will make this the party of all parties!
