Neighborhood Game Night at Burton Chace Park

Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey hosts a free weekly game night every Tuesday evening, and it is a fun, low-key way for teens and grown-ups to unplug and play together. LA County Beaches and Harbors runs the program as a casual community hangout where newcomers and seasoned players share tables side by side.

The lineup leans toward classic and strategy favorites. Players can sit down for a chess match, battle it out in Magic: The Gathering, or settle in for a few rounds of Rummikub, and everyone is welcome to bring a favorite board game to teach the group. Come with friends, bring the whole crew, or show up solo and find new opponents.

Game night is open to ages 14 and up, which makes it a great after-school or after-work outing for families with high schoolers. The park sits right on the main channel of the marina, so arriving a little early gives your family a chance to catch the harbor views as the sun goes down.

No ticket is required, and walk-ups are welcome. Organizers encourage players to register on Eventbrite to save a spot, and questions can go to the park office at 424-526-7910.
