Description
Roll up your sleeves and join the National Park Service in a hands-on day of giving back to nature at Rancho Sierra Vista. In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., volunteers will plant native vegetation and restore habitats along Potrero Creek to promote healthy ecosystems. Not only will you get to plant hundreds of live plants grown from locally collected seeds, but you'll also learn about their significance during a ranger-led interpretive walk. And if that wasn’t cool enough, you'll even get to craft seed bombs to further support local wildlife habitats!
This event is open to everyone—no experience needed. Just come prepared for some light outdoor work. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and sun-protective clothing. Closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts are a must. Gloves and tools will be provided, so all you have to bring is your enthusiasm and willingness to help!
