Main Street Walk

Main Street is one of Santa Monica's most charming strolls, and the Santa Monica Conservancy's Main Street Walk reveals the history hiding in plain sight. Guide Mark Gorman, street historian and author of the award-winning blog The Street Seen, shares stories of the Ocean Park neighborhood gathered from years of curious wandering and careful research.

The walk begins at the Historic Shotgun House, a tiny early-1900s cottage that is a fun piece of history in its own right. Afterward, families can stay for lunch, the shops and a quick trip to the beach a few blocks away.

Check-in opens at 10:15 AM. Dates can shift depending on the docent's schedule, so book ahead.
