Description
The GRAMMY Museum in downtown Los Angeles turns up the volume for Latin Music Appreciation Day, a daylong celebration of Latin music and culture held in honor of the Latin GRAMMYs. Programming fills the museum's Clive Davis Theater and Ray Charles Terrace with something for every age, from little listeners to music-loving grandparents. It is a lively way for families to celebrate Latin culture together at L.A. LIVE.
The day kicks off with a children's and family program led by Latin GRAMMY-winning family entertainer Lucky Diaz, a perfect fit for kids who love to sing and move. Next, 3rd Street Dance teaches salsa and bachata lessons, so your family can practice some fancy footwork together. Members of Ozomatli then take the stage for a live set curated by Crear Música, and a DJ keeps the party going through the afternoon.
Between performances, families can explore the museum's exhibits and hands-on interactive spaces, where kids can try out instruments and discover music history. The special programming is included with a paid general admission ticket, and youth 17 and under get in free, which makes this a budget-friendly outing for families. RSVPs are encouraged and give guests priority entry, which is handy because the venue may reach capacity at busy times.
