Kids Beach Cleanup Event

In honor of Earth Day, LA County Beaches and Harbors is teaming up with Heal the Bay for a super fun and meaningful morning at Dockweiler Beach. The Kids Beach Cleanup Event is all about getting little eco-warriors involved in protecting our planet—one piece of trash at a time! This free family-friendly event invites kids (and their grown-ups!) to join forces and make a visible difference along the shoreline.

But wait, it’s not just about picking up litter—there’s a whole experience waiting! Check out the Can the Trash! booth to learn cool tips on waste reduction, then get crafty at the arts & crafts station hosted by reDiscover Center. It’s the perfect blend of learning, doing, and having a blast by the waves.

Cleanup gear like gloves, buckets, and trash pickers will be available (while supplies last), but bringing your own reusable tools is highly encouraged—it’s Earth Day after all! Just a heads up: all volunteers need to submit a signed waiver form, and anyone under 13 must be with an adult. Let’s show some love to our beaches and make this a day to remember!
