HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Costume Contest 2026

Calling all costumed canines: Ventura Harbor Village hosts the HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Costume Contest 2026, a tail-wagging afternoon where pups and their people show off their spookiest, silliest and most sea-worthy looks.

Dogs compete for prizes in categories that include Best in Show, Spookiest, Most Sea-Worthy, Most On-Trend and Most Creative. It is just as fun to watch as it is to enter, so kids who love dogs (and costumes) can cheer from the Main Lawn.

Entry is limited to 75 dogs, with online entries opening October 16, 2026 and some spots possibly available on the day. Plan to arrive early, bring water for your pup, and check the Village events calendar for entry details and any fees.
