Halloween Trick-or-Treat in Old Town La Verne

Old Town La Verne turns into a friendly candy walk every Halloween afternoon, and this year's trick-or-treat lands on a Saturday. Local merchants open their doors to costumed kids, giving families a safe, daytime alternative to going door to door after dark.

The fun centers on Mainiero Square at D Street and 3rd Street, where kids can stroll the charming downtown blocks and collect goodies from participating shops. It works especially well for toddlers and preschoolers who might be overwhelmed by a big nighttime crowd, and older kids get a head start on their candy haul.

Since it runs from early to late afternoon, your family can trick-or-treat in Old Town, grab a bite at a local restaurant and still have time for neighborhood festivities later in the evening.
