Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival

Each summer, Independent Shakespeare Co. puts on a series of lively productions each week, inviting you to take a  seat on the grass and enjoy performances at the historic Old Zoo in Griffith Park. 

Reservations are required for 2021.  Reservations open at 10:00 am SEVEN DAYS in advance of the performance date. They will stay open until the performance is fully booked. Bookings are made online here.

• 70 pods are available for reservation at each performance. Each pod will comfortably seat 4 adults. 
• Remember you are registering per pod, not per person. On the Reservations site, you’ll select the pod of your choice, type “1”, and click “add.” If you enter more than 1, the system will tell you that only 1 seat is available. Don’t panic! 1 seat = 1 pod = up to 4 people.
• Seating is extremely limited, walk-ups may not be accommodated. If possible, please reserve in advance.
• If you need ADA accommodations, you do not need to wait until 1 week in advance. The sooner, the better!
