GO2 for Lung Cancer SoCal 5K Walk/Run

GO2 for Lung Cancer celebrates its 15th annual SoCal 5K Walk/Run with a brand-new home in Griffith Park, and families are invited to make a morning of it. Participants can stroll, jog or race the course alone or with a team, all while raising money and awareness for people and families affected by lung cancer.

The course follows a flat, easygoing dirt trail that works well for first-timers, relaxed walkers and families moving at their own pace. Before the main event, little runners ages 10 and under can burn off energy in the Kids' Dash, a quick 20-yard sprint that kicks off right after the opening ceremony. Music, activities for all ages, a survivor photo and an awards celebration round out the morning.

Parents will appreciate that children ages 4 and under register for free, and kids do not need to sign up for the Kids' Dash unless they want an event T-shirt. Leashed dogs are welcome at the park, so the family pup can tag along too. Event T-shirts and materials are handed out at the registration tables on race day, and sizes go first come, first served, so arriving early pays off.

Can't make it in person? Supporters can register as remote participants and walk or run in their own neighborhoods around event day. Every registration and dollar raised helps fund patient support, screening and treatment navigation, and lung cancer research.

All ages are welcome.

The Kids' Dash is open to children ages 10 and under, and the flat 5K course is a good fit for families.

🎟️ Tickets/Price

This is a paid fundraising event.

Current advance registration: General 5K $35; Students (ages 13–24) and Seniors (60+) $25; Youth (ages 5–12) 5K and Kids' Dash $15.

Day-of registration: General 5K $40; Students and Seniors $30; Youth (ages 5–12) $20.

Free registration for children ages 4 and under (no shirt), lung cancer survivors, veterans and active-duty military, and remote participants.

Kids do not need to register for the Kids' Dash unless they would like a T-shirt.

Registration fees are non-refundable.
