Description
Ready to do some good for the planet and have a little fun while you're at it? Join the Friends of the LA River (FoLAR) for Habitat Restoration Day & Earth Month Celebration—a feel-good, do-good morning of community-powered environmental action at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Preserve.
You and 500 fellow eco-heroes will work side-by-side to remove over 15,000 gallons of invasive plants and restore one full acre of valuable river habitat. But don’t worry—it’s not all sweat and weeds. After the hands-on restoration work, the celebration continues with nature walks, seed ball crafting, River Rover mobile museum tours, and cool exhibits from local community partners. It’s free, it’s family-friendly, and it’s all about giving LA’s urban nature a much-needed boost. Whether you're an environmental newbie or a restoration pro, this is your chance to be part of something truly impactful for the LA River and the entire city.
