Join the Los Angeles Maritime Institute (LAMI) for "Explore the Coast / Explora La Costa," a hands-on, bilingual STEM-focused sailing experience! Sponsored by Marathon Petroleum, this two-hour excursion invites participants to learn about coastal ecosystems, maritime science, and navigation while sailing aboard one of LAMI's historic tall ships.
Departing from Downtown San Pedro, this interactive voyage features trained bilingual (Spanish) docents, engaging scientific activities, and plenty of opportunities to deepen your understanding of the ocean. Perfect for families and curious explorers ages 10 and up, this adventure is a fun and educational way to experience the beauty of the LA Waterfront like never before! (All minors must be accompanied by an adult.)
