Explore the Coast/Explora La Costa

Join the Los Angeles Maritime Institute (LAMI) for Explore the Coast/Explora La Costa, a bilingual, STEM-focused sailing experience! Sponsored by Marathon Petroleum, this two-hour voyage departs from Downtown San Pedro, giving participants a chance to explore the LA Waterfront aboard one of LAMI’s iconic tall ships.

Designed for families and children ages 10 and up, this interactive excursion offers hands-on scientific activities, coastal education, and expert guidance from trained bilingual (Spanish) docents. Whether you're a science enthusiast, a nature lover, or just looking for a unique way to experience the ocean, this educational sail is the perfect way to expand your knowledge while enjoying a breathtaking day on the water. (All minors must be accompanied by an adult.)
