Description
Celebrate Black History Month with a hands-on animation experience at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures! In this special workshop, families will learn about the traditional animation process used to create classic films—painting images onto clear plastic sheets, known as animation cels, just like the ones used in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Drop by the Shirley Temple Education Studio anytime during the session to craft your own cel painting and explore the magic of movie-making. This interactive experience is perfect for all ages and included with museum admission (free for guests 17 and under). Don’t miss your chance to get creative and discover the art behind the magic!
