Dan Kwong: Manzanar Baseball Livestream

Baseball fans and history buffs can gather at 18th Street Arts Center for a free watch party of artist and storyteller Dan Kwong's Manzanar Baseball Project. The livestream follows an all-day doubleheader played at the Manzanar National Historic Site.

The project revisits the powerful story of the Japanese Americans incarcerated at Manzanar during World War II, who built teams, leagues and a vibrant baseball culture inside the camp. It is a meaningful way for families to talk with kids about resilience, belonging and community.

The day includes a morning game, opening ceremonies, an All-Star Game and a closing ceremony with Obon dancing, so you can drop in for an inning or two or stay for the whole lineup.
