Corita Day Festival

Corita Day Festival returns to the Arts District for its seventh year, celebrating Corita Kent, the Los Angeles artist and teacher famous for her joyful, bold pop-art prints. Hosted by the Corita Art Center and presented with KCRW and SCI-Arc, this free afternoon invites families to create, listen to music and soak up a big dose of community spirit.

Hands-on art-making stations are set up for every age, so even the littlest artists can dig in and take their creations home. A KCRW DJ keeps the energy up, live musicians take the stage, and the beloved Bob Baker Marionettes bring their puppet magic to the party. Kids will also spot towering, Corita-inspired box sculptures and murals made by local schools and community groups.

Hungry guests can browse a mix of food and drink vendors from around Los Angeles, and there is plenty of new Corita merchandise and maker goods for early holiday shopping. The festival's dress code is simply festive, so your family can show up in your brightest colors. Admission is free, though the organizers welcome optional paid tickets and donations that help keep the event accessible.
