Campana Sobre Campana: Christmas in Mexico

Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University celebrates the season with Campana Sobre Campana: Christmas in Mexico, a festive stage show that pairs Mariachi Garibaldi with the dancers of Ballet Folklórico del Río Grande. Named after the cherished Andalusian Christmas carol, the production tells a holiday story through music, movement and beloved Mexican traditions.

Families can expect bright trumpets, soaring violins and guitars, and colorful dresses twirling across the stage as the dancers bring each scene to life. The program weaves familiar holiday melodies and regional dances into one joyful celebration, making it a wonderful introduction to Mexican culture for kids and a nostalgic treat for grandparents.

The show runs about 105 minutes, including an intermission, so there is a built-in break for snacks and stretching. Two performances are offered, an evening show on Saturday and a Sunday matinee that works nicely for younger children.

It is an easy holiday outing for Orange County families looking for something cultural, musical and full of spirit. Parking is free with advance vehicle registration through the venue.
