Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival

Thousands of university-grown pumpkins, a sunflower maze, and a petting farm full of friendly goats make Cal Poly Pomona's PumpkinFest a fall favorite for families across the San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire. The festival returns to Kellogg Ranch on weekends in October 2026, and it's planned and run largely by the university's own agriculture students.

One admission ticket covers a whole day on the farm: a hay wagon ride pulled by an antique tractor, corn mazes, the sunflower maze, the Cow Train, the Petting Farm, the Jr. Farmers Discovery Zone, live music, and hands-on farm demonstrations. Pumpkins and petting farm feed are sold separately, so bring a little extra for that perfect pick from Pumpkin Hill.

Every weekend has its own theme this year. Pumpkinzania kicks things off with pumpkin crafts and demos, the Insect Festival brings live bug displays from the Department of Plant Science, Indigenous Agriculture Weekend celebrates Native foodways and farming traditions, and Halloween at PumpkinFest wraps up the season on October 31 with costumes and spooky-but-friendly fun.

This is a working farm with dirt paths and uneven ground, so closed-toe shoes and sunscreen are a smart call. Daily capacity is limited and the festival often sells out, so buying tickets ahead is the way to go. Pets are not allowed, though service dogs are welcome outside the Petting Farm enclosure.

This is a paid event. General admission is $18 per person online or $22 per person at the gate, plus a ticket fee.

Admission does not include pumpkins or petting farm feed.

Cal Poly Pomona students can buy tickets and season passes at the Farm Store with their Bronco ID.

🍔 Food

Food trucks and vendors curated by 909 Open Market are on site, along with student club booths selling food and snacks. The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store also sells fresh farm produce and treats; after 10:00 AM on festival weekends, a PumpkinFest wristband is required to shop there.

🚙 Parking

Parking is $5 on Saturdays and Sundays, and you can buy your parking pass when you purchase PumpkinFest tickets. Enter Kellogg Ranch at Temple Avenue and South Campus Drive and follow the signs. Overflow parking is across Temple Avenue in Parking Structure 2 or Lot B. Limited ADA-accessible parking is available in Lot U on South Campus Drive, south of Temple Avenue.
