Blaze a Trail Walk and Fire Expo

Join the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation for their first annual walk! Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque LA Zoo—covering 2.2 miles—all before it opens to the public. Participants of all ages will visit the park’s most beloved animals, learning about the wonders of nature as they witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitats. The morning concludes with a family-friendly expo featuring fire trucks, firefighting equipment, and an array of fun activities featuring the real tools and techniques of the LAFD. Try dragging a dummy to safety or donning turnout gear in under a minute! Children and families can explore the impressive vehicles up close, and they’ll learn about the vital role these tools play in the safety of their communities.

Fruits and snacks will be provided, as well as water for guests. Participants can also bring snacks to the park if there is a particular treat they want to have available.

There is free parking at the LA Zoo, as well as stops for public transportation. External parking is available, but costs may vary depending on location.
