Big Fish, Little Fish

Big Fish, Little Fish at the Aquarium of the Pacific is a hands-on class built for kids ages 3 to 6 and the adults who love them. Each 90-minute session mixes play, movement and discovery, helping young children practice their observation skills by exploring shapes, colors and textures in the ocean world.

Every class has its own animal theme. The October session dives into octopuses, with lessons on camouflage, invertebrate biofacts and a guided tour of the Northern Pacific Gallery. In November, the focus shifts to penguins, with a visit to the California Terrace, a hands-on look at feathers and beaks and a migration game. Both classes include touching tidepool animals in a private classroom touch pool and making an ocean-themed craft to take home.

Aquarium admission is included, so your family can keep exploring the exhibits after class wraps up. Spaces require pre-registration and pre-payment, and the program makes a wonderful one-on-one outing for a curious little ocean lover.

For children ages 3 to 6, each accompanied by an adult.

$110.90 per adult/child pair, including Aquarium admission.

$30.00 per Aquarium member adult/child pair.

Member guests: $50.95 per adult and $38.95 per child.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Cancellations made at least 72 hours before class receive a full refund; later cancellations are charged in full.
