It’s time to grab a kite, hit the hills, and celebrate the planet in style at the 17th Annual Ascot Hills Park Kite Festival! This beloved community tradition is back and bigger than ever—thanks to Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, LA32 Neighborhood Council, and a crew of awesome local partners.
Spend the afternoon enjoying the wind in your hair and color in the sky as kites of all shapes and sizes take flight over the beautiful green hills of East LA. Don’t have a kite? No worries—free kites will be available while supplies last! Plus, this event isn’t just fun—it’s earth-loving too. Expect eco-friendly booths, sustainability resources, tree giveaways, and even free rain barrels and compost pails to help you green up your home.Kids can dive into arts and crafts, groove to live DJ tunes, and soak up the positive vibes in a day packed with outdoor fun and community spirit. Whether you’re 5 or 95, this is the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day with a sky full of joy and a heart full of hope.
