Description
Get ready to power up some fun at Pretend City’s Annual Solar Derby! In partnership with the Bob Franz Foundation and powered by the Orange County Power Authority, this event is a hands-on celebration of all things solar and STEM. Future inventors and little engineers are invited to build their very own mini solar-powered cars—no experience necessary, just a love for learning and a bit of sunshine!
With guidance from the Pretend City crew, kids will explore how solar energy works while designing and constructing their cars. Then it’s off to the tracks for an exciting series of Solar Car Races where the sun becomes the ultimate fuel. It’s an action-packed day filled with science, creativity, and friendly competition—all in a museum built just for curious minds. Perfect for families looking for educational fun in a vibrant, interactive setting!
