AAPI Art Night Market

The AAPI Art Night Market at Compound is a dynamic celebration of AAPI Heritage Month that brings art, music, and community together in one vibrant evening. Featuring art showcases by local youth from Millikan HS and community members alongside live art demonstrations, this event also highlights AAPI-owned vendors, an open mic stage for poetry and music, and an interactive storytelling booth by Make Noise Today. Kids and adults alike can join engaging activities throughout the space, watch Olivia Sawai whip up custom illustrations, and experience augmented reality artwork by Donna Ibelli. Don’t miss the Middle Child Workshop’s AAPI apparel capsule launch, creative meet-up curated by Ryan Baysa, and DJ Glenn Red spinning all-vinyl sets. Satisfy your sweet tooth with desserts from Bik.Lun and Sunday in June, then raise a glass during Union’s happy hour specials. Hosted by Compound—a nonprofit cultural complex dedicated to art, healing, and connection—this free event is the perfect way to reflect, uplift, and celebrate the vibrant voices of the AAPI community.
