Description
The 4th Annual Kibō Nobori Children’s Arts & Culture Festival is bringing a joyful splash of color and community spirit to Downtown Little Tokyo! Hosted by Terasaki Budokan, this vibrant celebration honors Japan’s Children’s Day (Kodomo No Hi) and AANHPI Heritage Month with a day packed full of art, live music, cultural performances, and delicious eats. Created by artist Faith-Ann Kiwa Young, Kibō Nobori (meaning "hope flags") is all about spreading hope through creativity and community. Guests can look forward to performances ranging from traditional Taiko drumming to dynamic hip-hop dance, interactive art activities, and a bustling AANHPI marketplace curated by Filled Market, featuring amazing retail and food vendors. Plus, don't miss Angel City Football Club’s street team handing out swag! And for the whole month of May, visitors can marvel at Faith-Ann Young’s stunning large-scale Kibō Nobori textile flag installation on the plaza. Free with registration, this is an unforgettable day of joy for the entire family!
