2026 Girls Empowerment Conference

LA County Parks hosts its 12th annual Girls Empowerment Conference at East Los Angeles College, a free, day-long gathering designed to help teen and tween girls build confidence, explore their futures and connect with inspiring role models. More than 1,500 girls ages 12 to 18 from communities across the county are expected to take part.

Participants can choose from interactive workshops covering healthy relationships, career exploration, women in STEM, girls in sports, entrepreneurship, mindfulness and self-care, self-identity, and dance and movement, plus a creative Be You Vision Board Party. The popular Well-Being Village and Resource Fair returns with hands-on activities like journaling, key chain and crown making, live murals, sports and fitness activities, college and career exploration, prizes, giveaways, live music and a DJ.

Lunch and snacks are included, and county departments and community partners will be on hand with resources focused on wellness, education and personal growth. Registration is free but required, and space is limited, so sign up early.

Parents and guardians are welcome to come along, though workshops and activities are reserved for registered youth participants. A Parent and Caregiver Lounge is available for adults who stay on site, and free transportation is offered from designated LA County Parks Our SPOT teen center locations for participants who request it during registration.

This conference is for girls ages 12 to 18.
