2026 Fall Fantasy Book Faire

Dragons & Dreams transforms the lawn at the Autry Museum of the American West into a storybook realm for the 2026 Fall Fantasy Book Faire. Over two days in Griffith Park, families can browse booths from more than 40 fantasy authors and over 100 makers and merchants, catch live shows, and soak up a festival atmosphere where costumes are part of the fun.

Kids will find plenty to keep them busy. Storytime circles gather twice a day, live knight shows mix stage combat with games on the south lawn, and roaming knights, a juggling jester and medieval musicians wander the grounds. On Sunday only, guests can meet an owl up close and spot whimsical fae aerialists. Hands-on extras include face painting, arts and crafts, potion necklace making, hair sparkles, a charm bar, painting activities, mini Dungeons & Dragons games and lawn games such as giant chess and cornhole.

Grown-up readers get their own treats, from signed books and bookish gifts to acoustic sets and a romantasy comedy show. Cosplay is encouraged for every age, so dust off the wizard robes or fairy wings. Children 10 and under get in free, which makes the faire an easy and affordable pick for your family's fall weekend.

Plan on spending a few hours outdoors. Organizers suggest packing sunscreen, a refillable water bottle and a picnic blanket, and shaded seating is set up around the grounds. Wristbands allow re-entry, leashed and friendly dogs are welcome, and sharp props are not allowed with costumes.

All ages are welcome.

Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a paid event with single-day tickets.

Adults (18+): $15 per day.

Children (ages 11–17): $8 per day.

Children ages 10 and under are free.

Booking fees may apply. All tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred by contacting the organizer.
