Los Angeles, April 2024. The 19th annual Celebrating Words Festival continues its mission to distribute high-quality literature and culturally relevant books to the community for free. Literacy is vital to society's empowerment and prosperity, making this festival a crucial space for creativity, intellectual growth, and healing.The festival on May 18, 2024, from 2-7 pm, at Vaughn G3 Academy campus, promises a day filled with literary treasures. Attendees will receive brand new books in English, Spanish, and bilingual print, fostering a love for reading across all ages.
Besides the book giveaway, enjoy music and art workshops, ancestral knowledge, low-cost to free community resources, and the new Wellness Zone—a space for families to engage in yoga, cooking, and nature exploration. Don't miss out on the 25-foot rock climbing wall and mouthwatering food options!
This event is presented by Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural, a transformative force in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, supported by sponsors such as California Arts Council, The Getty, and many others.
