Will Rogers Memorial Park
Will Rogers Park opened in 1915 as the first municipal park in the City, at that time called Sunset Park. In 1926, entertainer Will Rogers was appointed first "Honorary Mayor" of Beverly Hills and, in 1952, the City renamed the Park, Will Rogers Memorial Park.
The park includes a pond with fish and turtles, and a fountain in the middle. It also includes lawns, rose gardens, tall palm trees, a dragon tree, and winding asphalt paths. It also features two bronze plaques about the history of the park, and a smaller plaque about the Beverly Hills Garden Club.
