Brawerman Elementary School East

Brawerman stands among the leading private elementary schools in Los Angeles. Its graduates advance to the top secondary schools in the City, where they are appreciated not only for what they know but how they think and who they are. A rich academic experience and challenging curriculum creates confident, independent students primed to make the world a better place.

We hold ourselves to the highest academic standards and a tradition of Jewish values that emphasize teaching, learning, personal, and social responsibility. The inquisitive nature of Judaism, which invites the curious to explore, discover, and debate, provides the ideal learning environment.

Brawerman Elementary School admits students of any race, color, sex, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin or ancestry to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School.

    Kindergarten through 6th Grade

With an eye towards expanding the minds of our students, Brawerman provides a rich, sequential curriculum. Guided by standards and best practices, our diverse academic programs emphasize the introduction, exercise, and mastery of salient skills, exposure to a particular body of core knowledge, ability to use and evaluate knowledge through critical and independent thinking with the goal of helping students seek and understand connections between ideas in their various studies.

Our curriculum builds on knowledge, skills, and the experiences of successive grade levels while introducing developmentally appropriate strategies, concepts, and approaches. Brawerman students are encouraged to expand their analytical and critical thinking while continually striving for academic excellence.

Throughout the school program, individuals are challenged intellectually, creatively, and physically while simultaneously guided in the development of strong personal character and concern for others. We encourage students to wonder, inquire, and be self-reliant, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
