Description
Children will write a short story, arrange their scenes with panels, sculpt characters, build the stage and props. Then, students will set it all together to make a Stop Motion movie, a filming technique in which they take a picture any time they change the position of a character and/or an object to make the illusion of movement. The lesson plan and schedule for the course are as follows: Lesson 1: Brainstorm and outline - Decide on who is their Main Character. Lesson 2: Story list- Arrange the order of the scenes and write what you need for each one (2 locations, props, and 3 characters). Start building a set. Lesson 3: Stage and props - Finish building and painting the 2 stages and make props. Lesson 4: Characters - Sculpt 2-3 characters (or use dolls/action figures). Lesson 5: Finish making the props and sculpting characters. Lesson 6: Filming - Learning how to use the app and set up everything for filming Lesson 7: Filming - Titles and Sound.
