Description
Students will develop and design different characters each lesson, using various mediums such as IClay, plastelina, charcoal and pastels, paper collage, wood, fabric, acrylic paints and watercolors. The lesson plan and schedule for the course are as following: Lesson 1. Iclay characters from inspired objects- Inspiration and style Lesson 2. Building with wooden parts - 3D shapes Lesson 3. Clothes with fabric & leather- Measurement and volume Lesson 4. Paper collage characters - 2D shapes, front, back and layers Lesson 5. Clay heads - Face symmetry and proportions Lesson 6. Charcoal/burnt wood & Pastels -Draw sketches with texture and tone (light & dark). Lesson 7. Painting a character with acrylics - Choosing the right color group (triadic & analogous) Lesson 8. Mystical creature (animal anatomy & characteristics)- Watercolor pencils/watercolors on paper.
