- Best Indoor Trampoline Playgrounds in Los Angeles!
While the weather in Los Angeles is usually pretty perfect, there are days when it’s too cold or to hot for kids to have fun playing outside. Fortunately, the city has plenty of indoor trampoline playgrounds, places that will let your kiddos expend energy and stay safe doing it. The indoor trampoline playgrounds provide a unique playing experience, as they will get you off the couch, and flying high. They are also a great way to get your heart rate up while keeping your kids happy and active. Get Air Surf City With thousands of square feet of trampolines, Get Air Surf City will get your kids jumping. This trampoline playground is in Huntington Beach, and it offers a wide variety of activities. Feel free to get a pass for yourself while there, because it’s good to find your inner child every now and then. You and your kids can spend hours just bouncing around on large trampolines or play a game of dodge-ball. If your children are little, then you’ll appreciate Get Air’s trampoline section that limits the size of jumpers to those who are under 46 inches. The trampoline playground has family nights on Mondays, and it offers a special rate for families of four. For general admission, one hour of jumping is $13.99 per person. For younger kids, the cost is $9.99. Sky Zone This center has locations throughout Southern California including Van Nuys, Torrance and Glendale. Along with regular jumping, Sky Zone offers activities like dodge-ball, a dunking zone and aerobics. This trampoline playground focuses on offering its customers fun fitness. Jumping on trampolines is an exercise that doesn’t feel like a workout. Sky Zone also has a foam pit filled with 10,000 foam cubes. Use it to perform fun flips or just hurl yourself into its soft foaminess. Big Air Trampoline Park Located in Laguna Hills, the Big Air Trampoline Park will keep your kids happy during the days when playing outside isn’t an option. This popular trampoline playground lets you and your kids challenge their friends to one-on-one jousting matches as you do your best to hold onto your balance over a foam pit. The park has a dunking section, as well as 17,000 square-feet of jumping areas. It features an electronic bull and “The Wall,” which is an intense climbing course. The Big Air Trampoline Park has an area for toddlers, so feel free to bring your little ones with you to jump. General admission to the trampoline park is $16.50 for one hour. The price goes down if you decide to jump longer. Big Air requires grip socks. You can bring a pair or buy one for $2.50. sponsored Sky High Sports Sky High Sports is appropriately named since you’ll be able to jump sky high on its many trampolines. The trampoline park has locations around Southern California, so you’ll be able to find one near you. Along with its main trampoline area, Sky High Sports offers a rope swing and a basketball dunk section. Here, you can participate in a dodgeball match. Get a group of friends together to fling balls at one another or join one of the ongoing games. Playing on a trampoline brings a fresh, new element to the game. You may find yourself dodging balls easy peasy or more able to hit an opponent by jumping high into the air. Like most of today’s trampoline parks, Sky High has a section for small children. This is also a place where you can get your workout on by taking an AIR-obics class. This type of class is low impact. It also helps you burn fat while improving your coordination and balance. Rockin’ Jump The Rockin’ Jump center is a little smaller than some of the other trampoline parks in California, but this makes it perfect if you have little kids. A smaller space just makes it easier to keep track of them. The center offers pricing promotions, so be sure to like their Facebook page. The Rockin’ Jump hosts birthday parties as well as group events. Along with several jumping areas, the trampoline center has a place for dodge-ball, a slam dunk zone, and an X-Beam competition area, where your kids can use padded lances and attempt to knock an opponent off a beam. - 5 Best Family Friendly Beaches in and around LA to Explore with Your Kids!
It is an undeniable fact that kids love the water, and more specifically, the ocean. But, the big waves, large crowds, and cleanliness can all factor into whether you actually want to take your family to the beach or not. So, let us take a few of the not so fun factors off of your list. Choose from our five favorite beaches below that are incredibly family friendly. Whether a playground, clean bathrooms, or shallow water is the highest on your list, we’ll make sure you know what you’re getting into before hitting the sand. Santa Monica State Beach First off, we love for kids to experience all a city has to offer, and the Santa Monica Pier is well known for being a wonderful attraction. So, head to Ocean Park Beach tower 26 for the most kid friendly spot around. There is a solid playground, an abundance of bathrooms and changing facilities, as well as a grassy area for when the sand just gets too hot. The ease of having a myriad of eating options at the Pier lets you know that the kids won’t go hungry if you didn’t have the time or desire to bring snacks along. If you’re hoping for a little more kid-only space, check out the neighboring Annenberg Community Beach House. They also have a playground, pool, and planned activities to keep the kiddos entertained, allowing you to take a few minutes to breathe. There is also a restaurant on site, Back to the Beach Cafe, for when the kids get hungry. One of the marvelous parts about this, as well, is that you can reserve a parking spot online, allowing the stress of parking and paying melt away. Lastly, their bathrooms might be the cleanest on the California coast, so enjoy! Mother’s Beach If the name Mother’s Beach doesn’t sound like a good place for the family, I’m not sure what you’re hoping for. Mother’s Beach is a spectacular sheltered spot in Marina Del Rey. The water is shallow, and the kids have a roped off area specifically for them. During the busy summer months, there is a lifeguard on duty to give you an extra set of eyes for safety as well. There is a playground nearby, as well as kayak and paddle board rentals for those with kids needing a little more adventure in their lives. So, if you have a wider range of ages needing something to do, Mother’s Beach is a great choice for you. Malibu Lagoon State Beach For the most variety of beach experience, head on over to Malibu Lagoon State Beach. This lagoon is a bird sanctuary, as well as a great spot for surfing. If your kids are mesmerized by watching these things, it’s a perfect spot. There’s plenty of sand here as well, making it easy to spread out and stake out a place just for you and yours. There are rocks along the beach for the little ones to play on as well. This beach is right next to the Malibu pier, allowing you to have great food, drinks, and dessert whenever you need a snack. Between the shallow water and variety of people and animals to watch here, the family can enjoy a full but relaxing day at Malibu Lagoon State Beach. Manhattan Beach The name says alludes to it, but Manhattan Beach gives you the best of both worlds. With the accessibility of the city and all it has to offer plus miles of stunning beach, this is a perfect California beach. It is great for families because of the clean restrooms and proximity of snacks and parking. You won’t have to tote the kids towels and trowels far to get to the sandy shore here. In addition, when the kids need some AC, head over to the free Roundhouse Aquarium at the end of the pier. This will be a nice diversion to the afternoon, letting the kids explore the local ecosystem and learn about the ocean. The beach volleyball scene is also impressive here, so whether you have an aspiring star or a little one who just loves to bounce the ball, there will always be some action to be found here. So, for ease of access and activities for all ages, check out Manhattan Beach next time the family needs a day away. Advertisement: Looking for a great Summer Camp? Leo Carillo State Park For those families that want to escape to nature on the weekends, put Leo Carillo State Park on the top of your list. You can explore the local trails leading to and from the beach, which will lead you to plenty of tidepools that kids can play in. Let your little ones see how many types of wildlife they can find here, while you enjoy a few minutes to yourself. If you even need more adventure, check out the sea caves that are tucked in the rocks. This park is a little more off the beaten path, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding plenty of space for yourself. There are great restaurants nearby to keep you satiated as well. Lastly, if you have a four legged member of your family, you can let them run free just a little north at North Beach. So, with the full extent of options here, Leo Carillo State Park easily made our top five family friendly beaches in Los Angeles list. - The Importance of Parenting Classes During Social Distancing!
Before Covid-19, you could take your kids to the park and watch them play as you engaged with other parents. You would share ideas, stories, laughs, and feel a sense of connection, knowing there are supportive people out there. Today, that luxury is lost, but not completely. Using SignShine classes online, you can still obtain advice for moms during corona, gain immense family bonding strategies, and remind yourself that we are all in this together in one community. Even though staying home during the pandemic is not ideal, you can still make the best of it. Improve Your Mental Health It is no secret that being indoors for more than a month now can really put a damper on your overall mindset. Before partaking mommy/daddy and me classes, I certainly was not as positive and upbeat as I was before this lockdown occurred. These classes have drastically improved my mental health and gave me clarity because not only I was able to converse to other parents, I had an outlet to stimulate my mind with fun, excitement, and knowledge that I have been lacking since quarantine. You never really understand the power of mental stimulation until it is gone. With SignShine classes, moms and dads can get that back and become much better parents. All while learning some impressive signing techniques that strengthen the bond between them and their baby. Fill Your Time Productively Right now, you have all the time in the world. So instead of sitting on the couch and watching TV as time goes by, proactively enhance your parenting skills and give yourself a reliable foundation to be the best mom or dad you can be. You are not only going to gain confidence in your abilities, but you will also be establishing a better routine and setting a good precedent for your kids. That is much more powerful and useful to do with your time than not doing anything at all. You Will Not Feel Isolated Anymore Humans are social creatures. I never realized how much I needed to engage with others to feel fulfilled in life until recently. With parenting classes, I have now bridged the gap between the outside world and my need for meaningful conversation and support. I am not just stuck in my head anymore and feel like a person again, and this is something truly valuable for anyone to experience right now. Take Advantage of Parenting Classes Parenting is an extraordinary journey, and it really does take a village to raise a child. Now that we are in the middle of a pandemic and practicing social distancing, your baby is probably getting antsy and bored being stuck inside, and you may be getting a bad case of cabin fever yourself. You see the clock ticking by, crossing off the days on your calendar, and trying to stay as sane as possible during this quarantine. It is certainly not a fun time, nor desirable, but that does not mean we have to sit around aimlessly and alone waiting for it to be over. There are parents like us all across the world who are going through the same situation. With the power of the internet and SignShine classes, why not take advantage of it to gain socialization and obtain remarkable parenting tools during this time? SignShine hosts the ultimate online courses that will not only strengthen your family dynamic, but is also an incredible place to obtain support for moms during social distancing to feel connected again.

At the Safari Park, you will answer health screening questions upon arrival in the parking lot. Bring a protective mask covering your mouth and nose, except for when dining, for each member of your family. You are also required to maintain a six-foot distance between you and other people. Some experiences, programs, and animal viewing areas may be closed but there is still plenty to see and do! Tickets for tours, Safaris, and other premium experiences can be purchased before you arrive. Zoo parking will be limited. At the Safari Park, the $15 general parking fee will be waived initially, and paid parking will resume later.
