Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show

Ballet of Lights puts a glowing twist on the classic fairy tale ballet Sleeping Beauty. Six dancers perform a shortened version of the story in costumes that light up in the dark, so every leap and spin sparkles across the stage of Santa Monica's Broad Stage.

The show blends traditional ballet with modern lighting technology, making it a wonderful introduction to dance for young audiences. At about an hour with no intermission, it is a comfortable length for kids.

Young ballet fans ages 6 to 10 can get an optional light-up tutu as a ticket add-on. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime, and late entry is not allowed, so families should plan to arrive early.
