TreePeople

TreePeople inspires and supports the people of LA to come together to plant and care for trees, harvest the rain, and renew depleted landscapes. Unite with communities to grow a greener, shadier and more water-secure city at homes, neighborhoods, schools and in the local mountains. Born from the efforts of a teenager over 40 years ago, they have involved more than 3 million people in planting and caring for more than 3 million trees.

You can also hike to the iconic TreePeople landmarks while learning about native plants and enjoying gorgeous canyon views of the city below. Best of all, the hike is pet friendly!

Moonlight Hikes

Visitors of all ages are welcome to join for the Moonlight Hikes, where you can explore the beautiful Coldwater Canyon Park and neighboring Wilacre Park, after hours! With different hiking levels to choose from, the Moonlight Hike is great for experts and newcomers alike!

Family Tour

The Family Tours offer something fun for the whole family! Kids have a blast learning about soil from the Dirt Doctor, playing games with Timothy the Tree, and planting their very own tree seeds, while adults learn about the local watersheds, drought solutions, and TreePeople's state-of-the-art facilities! And everyone will enjoy meeting the stars of the park, the native plants and animals!

Self-Guided Tours

Park visitors of all ages are also encouraged to take self-guided tours of the Center for Community Forestry. Interpretive signs are located in the Parking Grove, Environmental Learning Center, Nursery and Watershed Teaching Garden, and Nature Trails.
