I just started Mommy and Me class with SignShine last week, and I'm already loving it!! This class isn't just simply learning about your child but the meaning behind each step of development. I had so many Aha moments that have been exciting. SignShine’s studio is very pretty too and has lots of toys for kids to play during the class. We got so lucky and I get to have a private lesson with Etel Leit. You can tell how passionate Etel is about the moms, babies' development, and how to build a relationship with babies with communication. Sign language is so much more than just a communication tool. Since I started mommy and me with SignShine, every time I use simple sign language with my son, I see his eyes brighten up and smiles at me. I am really glad that I found this class with Etel. I was looking into mommy and me class at other studio before too but this class is sooo much better than other mommy and me class because she focuses on communication! Etel's private classes are a mix of sign language, singing, purposeful games, and discussions on child development and communication. Etel is extremely knowledgeable and presents all of the information in such a fun way. My baby loves the classes and is always so happy afterwards. She helped us with sleep training and now our evenings are easy and smooth. My baby has started signing as well as expanding her verbal vocabulary as a result of the classes. I was looking for best mommy/parent and me class for my LO and came across this class. I decided to give it a try. I was a little hesitant initially about sign language but the more I educate myself about it the more convinced I am that it is really important for little ones to improve communication. Language skills take time to fully develop but they can start signing very early on. This helps reduce tantrums and frustration from the baby and parent sides. Etel has a positive and vibrant energy and has useful tips for everyday activities with little one. My LO is full of energy and is constantly crawling/exploring. He really enjoys the music and interacting with the other babies in the class. We also got lucky to have a lovely group of parents/babies in the class. I really look forward to these classes.

My son is entranced by Etel! We are doing a private group with some friends and he can barely take his eyes off of her when the music starts. We have such a great time in every class. He is almost a year old now and my heart melts when he does a sign. So far he uses the signs for Milk and All Done, but I think he is understanding more than he can do, which is great too. I am terrible with languages, so I thought this would be really hard for me to grasp, but the songs make it fun and easy to remember so we can practice at home.
