Christmas Festivities The Original Farmers Market

On December 24th, take the kids to the original farmer's market and spend the day at the market. You can also enjoy the holidays at the market with music, arts and crafts, variety shows, Dickensian carolers and more. Then go for a train ride at the grove.

Fa La Land showcases dazzling lights, jolly sounds and comforting scents of the holiday season like never before. At Fa La Land, everything sparkles! This immersive and interactive setting is crafted for all ages. From your little ones to the oldest member of your family, would love stepping into an old fashioned North Pole, and help make toys at "Jingle Bell Toy Factory.

It is like stepping into your most exciting childhood fantasy! Get lost in light in a fluorescent "Fa La Forest", jump in on the action at "Fa La Fest", and take pictures with Santa, while he spread his good cheer. ($37 per person)

In the spirit of giving, drop off a toy for Toy Drive, located outside of Toy Crazy. You can also see live reindeer at this event.

Sing with fellow revelers at this special screening of the 1954 holiday classic, presented with lyrics on screen. And you might want to bundle up – you never know what might happen when a couple of thousand people dream of a white Christmas together. There will be two performances that day - one at 3:00 pm and one at 8:00 pm.

Every holiday season, Downtown Santa Monica brings a little ice skating to the beachside community and transforms the corner of Fifth Street and Arizona Avenue into Ice at Santa Monica, into the winter wonderland known as Ice at Santa Monica, an 8,000-square-foot ice-skating rink. Admission & Skate rentals are $15. Locker Rental are $10 with $5 refund upon key return. Hot dogs, cocoa, and other snacks

Aquarium Holidays features special holiday décor, a display of gingerbread houses, snow fall in the Great Hall, and the Aquarium’s costumed characters in their holiday outfits. On weekends the Aquarium will have a snow play area, underwater shows with Santa Diver, children’s crafts, photo opportunities with Santa and holiday characters, and Hanukkah storytelling with opportunities to play dreidel.

LA's first winter themed tubing park is back with awesome new activities. It is the first annual Winter Wonderland at Santa Anita Park from December 20th through December 23rd. The celebration will feature a free Family Fun Zone in the track’s infield with carnival games, pony rides, jumpers and face painting, surrounded by horses racing around the track, and more. It is only $5 per person and kids under 3 are free, and you get a free cup of cocoa and a cookie with your paid admission ticket.

Grand Park’s Winter Glow is an immersive nighttime art experience that is taking over Grand Park in celebration of the holidays. Join the largest holiday celebration at the music center from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The event is free to all and features the Ho’s original songs in English and Hawaiian with captivating hula choreography; Le Ballet Dembaya, a professional West African drum and dance company; Kayamanan Ng Lahi Philippine Folk Arts, a Filipino dance company noted for its extensive dance repertoire, costumes and music ensembles, Lorenzo Johnson & Praizum, a diverse choir with upbeat, inspirational and positive hymns and much more.

This event will be broadcasted live on PBS SoCal and KCET, and is free to all. No reservations or tickets are required to the show, but it is first come, first seated, so get there early. Parking is also free in The Music Center parking garage.

FunBox is an interactive, brightly-colored maze of over 20 large art installations centered around the celebration of toys and other childhood favorites.
