Hanukkah is the festival of lights, which starts on December 22nd this year, and lasts eight nights. Hanukkah is celebrated all around Los Angeles for families and kids. Here, we've found a list of the Hanukkah celebrations in and around Los Angeles to enjoy with your family for the eight nights of Hanukkah.

Celebrate Hanukkah at Skirball Cultural Center. Get on your feet for musical performances, sing along with roaming musicians, join dance leaders, and enjoy the uplifting vocals of the choir Urban Voices Project. You get to create a little light of your own, and decorate chocolate Hanukkah gelt.
Gather ’round to hear to the Hanukkah tale brought to life in English and Spanish. Enjoy Zeidler’s Café’s popular lunch menu including special Hanukkah dishes such as latkes and sufganiyot (jelly donuts). Zeidler’s Cart will also be open throughout the festival, offering holiday treats and its usual fare of fresh salads and sandwiches. Doors open at 10:00 am.

How I Saved Hanukkah, written by Amy Goldman Koss and illustrated by Diane deGroat, is the story of Marla Feinstein, the only Jewish kid in her fourth-grade class. When Marla decides to learn what Hanukkah traditions are really about, things change fast. Join them for this intimate theater experience in Culver City, perfect for children ages 3-10, and their families.

After lighting the menorah and gobbling the gelt, Grandpa Latke tells everyone the Hanukkah story, complete with mighty Mega Bees who use a giant dreidel to fight against the evil alien potatoes from Planet Chhh.
