Hollywood Forever Cemetery claims to host the largest Day of the Dead celebration in California. The cemetery grounds are covered with art exhibitions, dance rituals, musical performances, children's arts and crafts projects and food vendors. You'll see altars to the dead created by community artists, and can either watch or participate in the calaca (skeleton) costume contest. The event becomes exceedingly crowded after sunset; we suggest arriving before 4pm if you plan on parking in the adjacent neighborhoods or the Paramount parking structure. Cost: $25 per person (Children 8 years and under free until 4pm)

Knott's Berry Farms

The world's first, largest and most frightening Halloween theme park event is full of killer new surprises in 2018. If you dare, walk through the Ghost Town streets where bands of half-human, half-animal monsters prowl the foggy streets.
