The Muppets Take Over Skirball Cultural Center!

The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited is now open to public at Skirball Cultural Center through September 2, 2018. There will be an opening party tonight, June 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. with food trucks, a cash bar, DJs, and more.

The exhibit will feature more than 100 objects and twenty-five historic puppets, including Kermit the Frog, Rowlf, Ernie and Bert, Grover, and other popular favorites. You can also design your own puppet and try your hand at puppeteering in this highly interactive exhibition.

There will be also outdoor film screenings, which will feature two Henson films: The Muppet Movie on June 29 at 8:30 p.m., and Labyrinth on July 13 at 8:30 p.m.

Access to The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited is included with the general admission, which is $12 for adults; $9 for students, seniors, and children over 12; $7 for children two to 12; and free for children under 2 and members.

As usual, you can access the museum and this exhibit for free on Thursdays, but be aware of long lines. Free Thursday tickets are available at the admissions desk starting at 11:45 a.m. The Skirball Museum galleries are open Tuesday through Friday, 12 pm to 5 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. Parking is free.
