Grand park plans include tree-shaded sidewalks, drought-tolerant plants, an interactive fountain plaza, performance lawns and courtyards, children's playground, splash fountains, movable park furniture, and kiosks to encourage the walking and exploration of the area.
The playground includes a custom 20 ft. high tree-house with a tall roller slide and a 12 ft. tube slide, along with three tiers of platforms tucked inside the climber. The floor of the playground is a super soft surface that resembles a forest floor with gigantic leaf shapes in colors inspired by nature.

LA High Memorial Park is set in a small but beautiful park across the street from Los Angeles High School. There is one play area with a rubber surface suitable for all ages. Memorial Branch Library is also located on-site. The historic and Tudor style library is perfect for families and young children.

This beautiful park features Barbecue Pits, Children's Play Area, Picnic Tables, Bowling Greens, and Jogging Paths at Holmby Park. This park is not staffed and is open from dawn to dusk. For birthday parties and events at Holmby park, no more than 25 people are allowed in the group. Use of the facility is on a first come, first served basis. No moon bounces are allowed.

Aidan's Place features a Playground designed to be accessible for children with disabilities, Outdoor Turf soccer field, Indoor Racquetball Courts, Outdoor Basketball Courts, Two Gymnasiums with Indoor Basketball Court and stage, Indoor Aquatics Facility, Tennis Court Concessions and Bad News Bears Ball Diamonds. There are designated picnic permits available. Moon-bounces are not allowed.
The recreation center offers classes in Basketball, Fitness, Karate, Racquetball, Soccer, Summer Sports Camp (Ages 7-12), Tai Chi, and Volleyball, Ballet, Chess, Dance, Exercise, Music, Parent & Me, Performing Arts Summer Camp (Ages 7-16), Sculpting, Summer Day Camp (Ages 5-12), Teen Aerobics, and Yoga.

Our favorite features at Stoner Park are the seasonal pool with splash pads and water slides. Stoner Park also features a skate park, recreation center, play structure, soccer and baseball fields. The recreation center offers swimming classes during summer, and a junior lifeguard program, which is designed to teach children ages 10 to 17 years old basic water safety, skin diving, CPR, first aid, and small crafts skills.

After a massive makeover, the historic Echo Park Lake has finally become a family-friendly destination worthy of its bold backdrop: the Downtown skyline amid the lotus flower blooms and fountains. You can push your way through the lake in a pedal boat or stroll around the path that hugs its borders. The park features pedal boats, picnic tables, and walking paths.

Griffith Park is the tenth-largest municipally owned park in the United States and one of the largest urban parks in North America, spanning over 4,300 acres of land. Griffith Park offers numerous family attractions, an assortment of educational and cultural institutions, and miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, and provides families an ideal environment for enjoyable recreation activities. The recreation center offers Baseball Spring Training, Basketball, Flag Football, Little Hoopsters, Pee-Wee Tennis, Summer Sports Camp, Tennis, Tiny Tots Little Kickers, and Tiny Tots T-Ball.

This park contains large areas of native coastal sage scrub habitat, lawns and landscaped areas, picnic sites, tot lots, fishing lake, lotus pond, community center and five miles of trails through the Baldwin Hills, with views of almost every corner of the LA Basin—from the South Bay and the Pacific Ocean to Downtown and the San Gabriel Mountains. Active recreation and facilities include four playgrounds, one half basketball court, one fishing lake, two lighted baseball diamonds, one lit multi-purpose field, and one sand volleyball court.

This is a huge park located in the middle of a Cheviot Hills neighborhood. Right in the city, it's a nice distraction from the hustle and bustle of the daily lives. There's a huge apparatus for kids of all ages, complete with giant umbrellas for shading. They have plenty of shaded seating for parents and nannies around the playground and there is also a sandbox, playhouse, and swings.
Cheviot Hills Park also features Barbecue Pits, Picnic Tables, Baseball Diamond, Dodger Dream Field, Basketball Courts, Auditorium With Stage, Community Rooms, Kitchen, Pétanque Courts, Archery Range, Tennis Courts, and Seasonal Pool. The recreation center offers Winter, Spring & Summer Day Camps, and Sports leagues and classes. Sports registration generally opens two months prior to the league opening.

Mar Vista Park has a lot to offer, including a nice playground, a great soccer field and basketball court, and most importantly, a great roller hockey rink. It also features Barbecue Pits, Baseball Diamond, 4 Picnic Areas, Tennis Courts, Volleyball Courts, Jogging Path, Kitchen, Multipurpose Sports Field, Outdoor Fitness Equipment, and Seasonal Swimming Pool. Moon bounce are allowed with permit.
The recreation center offers youth sports leagues for children 4-15 years of age. Co-Ed and Girls Soccer, Flag- Football, Youth Roller Hockey and Girls Basketball is offered in the fall, Co-Ed and Girls Basketball, Youth Roller Hockey is offered in the winter, and Co-Ed and Girls Soccer, Youth Roller Hockey and T-Ball, 5-Pitch, Minors and Major baseball is offered in the spring. They also offer seasonal camp programs for children ages 3-5 years and for children entering grades K-10th. Camps are offered in the summer, winter, and spring.

Roxbury Memorial Park is a popular spot for numerous recreational activities, including picnicking, lawn bowling, basketball, sand volleyball, baseball and soccer. Leashed dogs are welcome. Park features picnic table rentals with use of park barbecues, children's playground, four well-lit tennis courts and hitting wall, Lawn bowling and croquet greens, baseball diamond, 1-1/2 basketball courts, and sand volleyball courts. The Community Center at Roxbury Park is an affordable, and beautiful place to hold your next birthday party.

Coldwater Canyon Park has two small picnic areas with picnic tables, two play areas, a water feature, shaded arbor, amazing view, and easy to walk trails. Picnic areas may be reserved for use seasonally. The park offers soccer classes for kids (2-7) through the city of Beverly Hills.

La Cienega Park is the crown jewel of Beverly Hills athletic facilities, with three baseball diamonds (two of which convert to soccer fields seasonally) that host multiple leagues, a perimeter jogging track and a new pavilion featuring outdoor exercise equipment that offers a great workout to everyone from teenagers to seniors.
Brightly colored playground equipment draws young children and their parents to La Cienega Park and there are barbecue grills and picnic tables for family outings and get-togethers. The Park also features a new snack bar--The Lazy Daisy Café --which serves offers a variety of lunch options and snacks, including sandwiches, salads, and smoothies.

Take one step inside Tongva Park, and you'll find it hard to believe that this 6-acre urban oasis was a flat asphalt parking lot just a few short years ago. Tongva Park is divided into 4 main sections: Observation Hill, Discovery Hill, Garden Hill, and Gathering Hill. The park features Children's discover play area with splash pad, Natural amphitheater, Walking paths, Shaded picnic areas, Free wifi, and beautiful gardens.

Palisades Park is a 26.4-acre park located along Ocean Avenue on top of the coastal sandstone bluffs, offering breathtaking scenic views of the Pacific Ocean and the coastal range. The park features picnic areas, a rose garden, and it is a great place to stroll and picnic.

Douglas Park features lawn bowling, three dock ponds, fly fishing area, picnic tables and benches, children's playground & splash-pad, roller skating area, and two tennis courts. You can relax in the fully fenced-in playground area while your little ones run free through the sand and take to the slides, swings, zip lines, bouncy seesaws and many other play structures. Your kids can ride bikes or scooters in the roller skating area, and enjoy the pond full of ducks, turtles and fish.

Clover Park is on a 17.9 acres land, and features picnic tables with 16 BBQ grills, 2 playgrounds, baseball diamond, softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and 15-station par fitness course. They have meeting rooms and park facilities available for your events. You can even reserve a BBQ in advance of your party. You can also reserve courts for basketball, sand volleyball and tennis, fields for baseball, softball and soccer.

This park is absolutely a hidden gem with literally hundreds of cherry blossom trees surrounding the whole lake during spring time. Lake Balboa Park features Barbecue Pits, Children's Play Area, Picnic Tables, Jogging Path, Walking Paths, Bike Path, Multipurpose Sports Field, Fishing (with permit), Pedal Boats, and Bike Rentals. The playground features swings, slides, jungle gyms and fun tunnels for kids to enjoy.
