Playgrounds Are Now Open in Los Angeles County!

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

As of October 5th, all playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment have reopened for public use with mandatory social distancing and limited use up to 30 minutes.

Playgrounds will begin to re-open individually as reconditioning cleaning, signage and safety inspections are completed. Access to census stations will be permitted, but there shall be no more than 10 people at a time in the facility.

All Parks remain open for walking, hiking or running with social distancing. Non-permitted recreational group sports or activities are not allowed at this time, and you must wear face coverings at all times.

All recreation centers remain closed, and indoor and outdoor sports leagues, aquatics classes, instructional courses and group sessions are still cancelled, but LA County DPH is now allowing teams to get together and practice individual drills and conditioning on a limited basis and outdoor only. No one may practice without a permit
